Well, spring semester has officially started. & it is so strange being on a new campus. Even weirder was not seeing any familiar faces. Being a dance major is really something special. One, because you get to dance all the time…which is awesome. & Two, because the people you dance with become family. The dance program at SDSU is very small in numbers but overflowing in talent. I was always amazed when i watched my peers perform. I was so close to my other dance girls and not seeing them everyday is going to take some getting used to. I miss them bunches.
I had my first class on Wednesday, modern dance, and sat down with my professor afterwards and discussed classes, auditions, summer dance internships & intensives…literally everything. It looks like i am going to be one busy girl this semester…with nannying and school, and possibly rehearsals for a spring dance concert and musical! We’ll see how everything goes. Oh, I’m also starting to undergo my 200 hour yoga certification program, namaste bitches.
Thursday is always “early out” at my boys’ school. Which means thursday is playdate day! I think playdates are important for my boys, especially because there aren’t many kids for them to play with in the neighborhood. I guess their old nanny wasn’t big on play dates, because today Ethan [my younger boy] says to me, “Alex, you’re the best nanny ever.” My heart melted. I luff them.
I’m excited to see what this semester brings, i feel like i have a lot of opportunities here that i never even realized existed up until now.
Until next time.
Besos, Alex
