“You didn’t come this far to only come this far”

Late last night as I was mindlessly scrolling through Instagram before I went to bed I stumbled across this saying, “You didn’t come this far to only come this far.” This really hit home. & naturally, with it being the new year and all I started reflecting on everything that twenty-fifteen had done for me.
Twenty-fifteen was a year of change & discovery.

I gained confidence, I learned to trust my instincts, I let go of those who were holding me back from reaching my full potential, & I surrounded myself with positive, goal oriented, like-minded individuals. [Now, back to how this all ties in] I have come so far in these past three hundred and sixty five days; however, I know that the universe has so much more in store for me. This is only the beginning. But at the same time, I am also reminded that life is short..you never know when you will breathe in your last breath.

So, here is what it all boiled down to for me at least..never settle. I repeat, never settle. You are worth so much more, and capable of accomplishing things far beyond what you could ever imagine. & to always aspire to be great, to be extraordinary. There is only one “you” in this universe, so why wouldn’t you want to thrive in this breathtaking world that is full of countless possibilities. You are the author of your life’s story. You hold the power to write your own chapters, to choose your own destiny. You’ve made it this far in your life: fought battles, overcome challenges, healed broken hearts..etc. & just think, you have gone through all of that and probably learned so much as a result. These are the things that make us who we are, we have come so far..but there is so much more. & I personally cannot wait to see what comes next.

Just a little food for thought on this rainy Thursday.

Besos & Happy New Year, Alex
